It costs less than the steel SEITONA Ice Blue for one reason. A crystal case is cheaper to produce than a machined 316L one. Same movement and dial, same assembly bench.

What is a mecaquartz movement?
A hybrid. The timekeeping is quartz, so it holds accuracy to within seconds a month and needs a battery rather than servicing. The chronograph is mechanically linked, so the seconds hand sweeps and snaps back to zero instantly instead of crawling. It is the reason a VK63 chrono feels closer to a mechanical one than a standard quartz does.
