SEAGULL 1963 | Bronze Lume 40mm
All products are custom-built and not affiliated with any official brands. We do not sell counterfeit or replica products.
Twelve green dots sit around the outer edge of the dial, one at each hour, and they are the reason this one is called the Lume Edition. The blued syringe hands are filled with the same stuff. Turn the lights off and those thirteen marks glow. The bronze-tone numerals do not, which is what keeps the dial looking normal in daylight.
The case is bronze, 40mm, brushed on the bezel, flanks and lugs. Bronze reacts to air and skin, so it darkens over months and picks up marks where it rubs. The caseback is steel, screwed in with a window over the movement, and its ring is engraved BRONZE LUME and 1963.
Under it runs the Seagull ST1901: hand-wound, 21 jewels, 21,600 beats an hour, roughly 42 hours once wound, with the blued swan neck regulator sitting beside the balance where you can see it. Crown every day. Upper pusher for start and stop, lower for zero. Running seconds at 9, timed minutes at 3.
Nothing about this Seagull 1963 passes over our bench. Sea-Gull builds and cases it, we resell it untouched. It comes on a 20mm olive nylon strap with one red stripe down the centre and a bronze-tone buckle, packed in its silver tin. Delivery is 2 to 4 weeks.

Common questions
What actually glows?
The twelve dots on the outer track and the hour and minute hands. The numerals, the wedge markers and the red chronograph hand stay dark, so at night you read the hour and the position, not the numbers.
Can I stop the bronze going dark?
Not really, and it is worth thinking of the patina as the point. Skin oil and air do the work. If you prefer it bright, a soft cloth or a mild polish takes it back, and it starts again from there.
Is this a mod?
No, it is not a mod. Every other watch we sell is built here in India around a Seiko movement. This one is made by Sea-Gull and we ship it on untouched, in the maker's own box.
Is the 38mm bronze the same watch?
Close, not identical. The smaller one takes a narrower strap, sits tighter on the wrist and ships on a beige strap. This is the 40mm, on olive nylon with a red stripe down the middle.
Estimated delivery is 2–4 weeks from order confirmation. Each watch is built, inspected, and securely packed before dispatch. Tracking is shared once your order ships.
Returns are accepted for manufacturing defects, functional faults, or if the delivered watch is materially different from what was promised. A clear, continuous unboxing video showing the sealed package, shipping label, and issue is required to assess the claim.
